Mongolia, one of the youngest democracies with one of the fastest growing economies in the world (12 percent GDP), is in prime position to excel down the path toward sustainable growth. Schneider Electric™ is helping to address Mongolia’s sustainability challenges with a focus on three areas: leadership through innovation, digitization, and new growth opportunities.
“I strongly believe in the strength of Mongolia and its people, and I am sure to be able to build here a strong foundation for sustainable growth with our partners’, said Philippe Aubry, Schneider Electric Mongolia country president, during the opening ceremony of the Schneider Electric office and showroom in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in November 2013.
In addition to his 23 years of international sales, business development, and leadership experience within Schneider Electric, Philippe brings the vision of putting Ulaanbaatar on the map as a smart city. Today, he is leading a talented team focused on empowering local customers and partners to develop customized local solutions.
His career at Schneider Electric began as sales manager in France. From there, he moved on to lead business development in Eastern Europe and Germany, served as country director for Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, and drove strategic sales and segment businesses in France and Russia. Philippe is also fluent in French, English, German and Russian.
“Schneider Electric is in touch with the real-life conditions in its local markets,” said Philippe. “We make a proactive and lasting commitment to the places where we work and live by rolling up our sleeves and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our community partners.”
Already, new relationships with two local companies have been secured to bring world-class energy management expertise and technologies to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. And beyond business, the Schneider Electric BipBop (Business, Innovation, and People at the Base of the Pyramid) program will be launched in Mongolia as part of the global initiative to bring safe, clean electricity to the people who need it most.
